About PLEDGE
People Linking to Embrace and Develop Gender Equality (PLEDGE) is a partnership of local organisations and community members established circa 2008, previously known as Knox Accord.
Our Vision
A Knox community that upholds and embraces gender equality, respect, and fairness, where everyone has equal rights and access to opportunities in a gender equal world.

Our Purpose
Support
Support community and organisations' capacity through activities, education and training
Involve
Involve local community, organisations and individuals in awareness and positive action for greater equality, respect and family violence prevention
Research
Research and collate data to better understand gender inequality and family violence in Knox
Partnerships
Work with peak bodies, government and regional partnerships
Advocate
Be a united voice and advocate for gender equality in our local community
Members
Partner Members
Partner Members are individuals, organisations (through their nominated representative), local businesses or service providers committed to and actively involved through regular attendance at PLEDGE meetings. Partner Members share decision making equally and actively contribute to planning collaborative activities, development of resources, project implementation, engagement activities and advocacy.
Associate Members
Associate Members may include stakeholders, organisations, service providers and community members that share our vision and support the work PLEDGE does. The involvement of Associate Members in PLEDGE varies according to the activities or projects being undertaken, their particular interest and resources.
